BMSA Technology Ltd launch at Glengarriff Lodge, Sept 28th,2013.
Active Networking in Glengarriff
Over 120 guests attended this lively company launch in Glengarriff on Saturday Sept 28th. Guests travelled by coach from Glengarriff village to the absolutely magnificent Glengarriff Lodge situated in the heart of the oak forest. The grounds were at their best after a liberal fall of rain on the morning of the event, with the meandering river at full flow.
The event was co-hosted by Finbarr (Barry) Mc Sweeney, Founder and CEO of BMSA (www.bmsa.eu) together with Alan and Rosheen Callander, owners of the Lodge which is an accommodation partner of BMSA. www.Glengarriff-Lodge.com
Many of the guests availed of a tour of the Lodge which is available for private functions including weddings (marriage licence), has 4 bedrooms and well appointed living quarters. It is an impressively secure, high-end retreat. It is central to private groups visiting Glengarriff to participate in the Golf tuition programmes offered by BMSA Golf Division.
There were 33 companies represented and it became clear that this was also an active networking event.
SkyTec Ireland Ltd, a partner company of BMSA, are leaders in unmanned aircraft filming in Ireland and they had one of their aircraft in the sky filming the event. The below image is a great testament to SkyTec Ireland and also shows the beauty of the Lodge. A number of BMSA clients are already actively following up with SkyTec. One of the videos they captured on the day can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/76048350
Connect Ireland Ltd is the IDA programme developed and founded by Terry Clune, who is also the founder and CEO of www.Taxback.com. BMSA works in partnership with Connect Ireland with regard to Foreign Direct Investors and Barry McSweeney is a Super-Connector in the Connect Ireland programme. Connect Ireland operates an incentive scheme where individuals identify possible companies which may come and invest in Ireland.
Practice and Theory is the creative partner of BMSA and responsible for its website design and elaboration. A number of BMSA clients and others are now in discussion with Practice and Theory concerning their services. Practice and Theory are part of Choice Cuts which operate the Sugar Club Club venue in Dublin and arrange a wide range of musical events.
There was a strong Music and Arts component to the event with Philip King of iconic Other Voices fame speaking at the Launch. The series of musical events take place in Dingle every December and also in New York, London and Derry. Other Voices are a brand partner of BMSA who also fund-raise for the series and provide technology advise and support on the broadcasting of the events.
Des Geraghty welcomed guests with his evocative flute-music at the bridge of the Lodge and music was provided during the event by Sally Corr and Noel Poecock.
The MC at the Launch was Mark Holland of RTÉ TwoTube fame, who gained many fans at his handling of the event. www.markfholland.com
Rosheen Callender provided an interesting historical overview of the event and formally welcomed the guests to the Lodge.
Speakers at the event also included Prof. John Atkins (acclaimed researcher and world authority on RNA), Dr. Val Cummins (Director of IMERC, the Irish Maritime and Energy Resource Cluster), Terry Clune (Connect Ireland) and Philip King (Entertainer and Founder of Other Voices events).
Barry Mc Sweeney explained the activities of the company which provides Technology advice to the Marine, ICT and Healthcare sectors and in particular its newly established Golf Division which has unique tuition programmes aimed at International golfers. These will receive unique tuition at Glengarriff, Bantry Bay and the Old Head Of Kinsale golf courses.
